Peter Crouch once joked he would have been a virgin had he not made it
as a footballer, but Christian Karembeu reckons he would've had plenty
of success with the ladies had he failed to make the grade.
The
former France and Real Madrid star - who is now a strategic advisor for
Olympiacos - won the World Cup, Champions League and European
Championship during his glittering career.
However, when the
44-year-old was asked by Marca what avenue he would have pursued had he
not been blessed with his football talents, he gave the most surprising
of answers.
He said: "If it hadn't been a footballer, I would have been a doctor or porn actor."
After
shedding that insightful light on his potential alternative career
path, Karembeu touched on more pressing matters, notably the future of
Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez.
He added: "We must give time to Benitez to make his way and develop an understanding with his players. In two months we can talk about it, is early now."
Despite boasting a glittering CV, Karembeu failed to win La Liga or the Copa del Rey during his time with Madrid, but insists he has no regrets over his time at the Bernabeu.
"In my first season we won seventh Champions League. Real Madrid’s fans spent 32 years waiting for that moment.
