He commended traditional and religious leaders for mobilising people to
participate in the exercise and solicited for more cooperation to ensure
its success.
The Dutse Local Government Council of Jigawa said on Tuesday that it would vaccinate no fewer than 97,000 children against measles during the forthcoming immunisation exercise.
Alhaji Sani Yusif, the Health Education Officer, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse that the council had received enough doses of the vaccines for smooth conduct of the exercise.
Yusuf, who spoke through the council's Information Officer, Malam Ya'u Garba, disclosed that 625 ad-hoc staff had been trained to administer the vaccines in 101 designated centers across the area.
He commended traditional and religious leaders for mobilising people to participate in the exercise and solicited for more cooperation to ensure its success.
Yusuf particularly appealed to parents to make their children available for the immunisation slated for Nov. 21 to Nov. 25. .
