Minister of education Adamu Adamu suspends FUTA V.C Prof. Adebiyi Daramola over fraud

The minister of education Adamu Adamu has reportedly suspended the V.C of the Federal University and Technology Akure(FUTA) Prof. Adebiyi Ademola who
was  accused of fraud of N24 million.

 Adamu is also said to have suspended the school’s Bursar, Dr. Emmanuel Oresegun, according to Sahara Reporters. Both officials have been accused of fraud to the tune of N24 million, and are being tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

  Daramola is facing a nine-count charge of offences including misappropriation of public funds, misuse of office and obtaining money under false pretense among others. Oresegun, on the other hand, is facing a two-count charge of mishandling unpaid funds and fixing funds without due process.
