Gay Right Activist,Bisi Alimi Bags An Award At The 2016 European Diversity Awards in London

The 6th edition of the European Diversity Awards (EDA) held in London last night and Bisi Alimi bagged the Vodafone Campaigner of the Year. The prestigious award celebrates achievement in all areas of diversity, including race, age, sexual
orientation, disability, gender identity and belief, and so, recognises individuals and organisations who have contributed immensely to achieving these set goals in Europe.

This year, the openly gay Nigerian activist, Bisi Alimi, came highly recommended for Vodafone Campaigner of the Year category, and now he has taken to his Instagram to celebrate this new feat. He wrote:
“Still basking in the delight of last night and the honour that I have the privilege of holding in my hand. Sometimes, when this kind of thing happens and i am humbled by it, my husband will say ‘wow to think you just arrived here less than 10yrs ago and look at how much impact you have made?’. Holding this in my hand as the highly commended award was and still a great honour. I am still giggling and my head still spinning from too much alcohol”
